A recent, anonymous donation of $10,000 from a generous community member in Beausejour will be used to help facilitate the purchase of highest priority items in the hospital.

Dr. Joseph Partyka, site chief medical officer at Beausejour Hospital says he and his entire hospital team sincerely thanks the donor for their generosity.

“All gifts to this hospital are very much appreciated. A donation of this magnitude will make a tremendous difference in our ability to care for our patients, “says Dr. Partyka. “In discussions with our donor they were duly impressed and appreciative of both the care they themselves received in our emergency department and that loved ones received while being an inpatient at the Beausejour District Hospital. I have assured them that this gift will aid us in delivering the same excellent care they were so appreciative of themselves.”

Interlake Eastern Health Foundation executive director Pamela McCallum is humbled by the generosity of Interlake-Eastern communities.

“Our facilities in Beausejour and other surrounding communities are continuously supported by local residents, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their ongoing generosity. Each and every donation the foundation receives is hard at work enhancing local, dedicated patient care.”

The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds that support health care in the Interlake-Eastern health region. For more information visit www.iehf.ca or contact Pamela McCallum, executive director of the Interlake Eastern Health Foundation at (204) 785-7044.
