Selkirk & District Community Foundation funds high priority equipment for the Selkirk Regional Health Centre!
Selkirk and District Community Foundation’s (SDCF) Selkirk General Hospital fund recently granted out $34,996 to the Interlake Eastern Health Foundation (IEHF) for the purchase of high priority equipment for the Selkirk Regional Health Centre (SRHC).
The new equipment includes an embosser printer to help with admissions, a medication grade fridge for the pharmacy, a telemetry pack for the emergency department, and handheld oximeters for the Family Birthing Unit.
Katie Hibbs, Interim Director Health Services – Acute Care at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre says this generous grant with enhance patient care.
“It is because of the hard work and generosity of organizations such as the Selkirk & District Community Foundation, that we are able to obtain important equipment necessary to providing quality patient care. We are truly grateful and fortunate for their dedication, kindness and support.”, says Hibbs.
Interlake Eastern Health Foundation executive director, Pamela McCallum, acknowledged the continued support from the SDCF.
“We are so lucky to have the Selkirk & District Community Foundation as a friend of the foundation. We are forever grateful to them for their grants that help us enhance patient care and make life for our staff easier. We look forward to working with Bev and the Board of Directors on future health-related projects for the community,” says McCallum.
